Garden mandala: ‘A Quiet Circle of Nature’
A 30cm diameter green mandala painted in my unique design, inspired by the theme of nature, particularly hedgehogs, but if you look closely you can see other creatures in there too!!
There is nothing like a challenge to make your creativity come alive! In my local Parish of Frampton Cotterell, they are very active in awareness and education of the community in nature and climate issues. Each year they hold workshops, nature walks, and an art exhibition!
This piece was created for the exhibition, along with the larger mandala with the butterflies (see another entry in the gallery). I absolutely loved painting the hedgehogs particularly, I think I smiled the whole time! The bees, daisies, ferns, grass, worms, gypsophila and Rudbeckia also appear, all of which are found in our gardens.
