Chess sets are everywhere – they have been around for so long you can pick them up in charity shops, or spend thousands on unique pieces. I saw them on line all the time in resin and I wanted to try. This is really tricky though, for every piece I made, there were at least 2 in the bin!
The result was great though, and my husband (who is the chess-nut) loved it. Unfortunately he plays on line 99% of the time, but hay-ho, it was a nice idea 🙂

Unlike a lot of my craft items, this needed the specialist equipment. The moulds are available on-line – but I would get a good quality one as the edges are really tricky and they absolutely must stay upright when you are pouring the resin and while it cures.
This is not my craft expertise, so I will not comment much more. There are plenty of experts out there though, so check out utube for recommendations and guidance!
